Program Data Section I. MTTC Pass Rates
MTTC pass rates, both for basic skills and for
specialty areas, are consistently high for Michigan Tech students. This is
confirmed by survey responses of principals, superintendents, and cooperating
teachers regarding prospective and new teachers’ command of subject
matter. The Department of Education annually distributes the pass rates on
the MTTC specialty area tests to each degree-granting department to consider
as they evaluate their program requirements and contemplate adjustments to
curriculum.
