Teacher Certification - Education Course Requirements

PSY 2000 Principles of Psychology is a prerequisite requirement - 3 credits
(on the Language, Thought and Values distribution list)

Early Block*

ED 3110 Psychological Foundations of Education 3 credits
(on the Science, Technology and Society distribution list)

ED 3210 Foundations of Education 2 credits

ED 3410 Clinical Experience 1 credit

*Courses should be taken concurrently

Additional Required Courses

HU 4150 Literacy in the Content Areas 4 credits

ED 3100 Instructional Technology 2 credits

PE 3985 CPR and First Aid Certification
or
Certification in CPR and First Aid by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross

ED 4700 Fundamentals of Instruction 3 credits
(usually taken the semester before student teaching)
